How the service works

To take advantage of the services offered by iRecovery you can go to one of our centers or send your hardware by post. If you choose to send your hardware to us, please follow the instructions on this page to ensure correct packaging.

iRecovery's Packaging Tips

Use a box that is large enough to accommodate the device you are shipping. The container must be large enough to hold the device in abundance. Before inserting the disk into the box, wrap it in the bubble wrap (the classic packaging paper). If there is no bubble wrap, you can use sheets of paper or kitchen sponges. Make sure that the hard disk or the support to be treated can move as little as possible. This will prevent further damage caused by transporting the media.

It is very important that the hard disk, or any other storage device to be shipped, is not in contact with the external surface of the box.  

Print the form with the address of our laboratory and personalize it with your address. Place it in a plastic bag for sheets and secure it with adhesive tape to the package in order to protect it from any external agent. If you have agreed with our operators the shipment, our courier will pick up the package at the scheduled time, the same courier will return the memory device not working and another new media, with the recovered data inside. Shipping by courier is free of charge. If you ship on your behalf, we recommend the use of specialized couriers (avoiding priority mail instead), using the mode of insured fast delivery.

Es muy importante que el disco duro, o cualquier otro medio de almacenamiento que se envíe, no esté en contacto con la superficie externa de la caja.  

Imprima el formulario con la dirección de nuestro laboratorio y personalícelo con su dirección. Colóquelo en una bolsa de plástico y péguelo con cinta adhesiva al paquete para protegerlo de cualquier agente externo. Si usted ha acordado con nuestros operadores el envío, nuestro mensajero recogerá el paquete a la hora programada, el mismo mensajero devolverá el dispositivo de memoria que no funciona y otro nuevo, con los datos recuperados dentro. El envío por mensajería es gratuito. Si realiza el envío en su nombre, le recomendamos el uso de mensajeros especializados (evitando el correo prioritario en su lugar), utilizando el modo de envío urgente asegurado.


– Avoid placing the disk in an envelope even if it is padded.

– Always add the padding in the box to prevent the disk or support from moving.
